my relationship with yoga began when I was seventeen. during a time when I was carrying a lot, yoga found me as a quiet way to begin feeling steady.
I had been placed in a yoga class through my high school’s elective program, and I walked in hesitantly, probably without ever having noticed my breath before. it was my first real experience with anything connected to care for my inner world. over time, yoga became something I turned to again and again - a practice rooted in ancient tradition that continues to guide and ground me in a very personal way.
since completing my first 200 hour yoga teacher training program in 2017, I’ve now been teaching weekly group classes for over seven years — along with workshops, events, and private sessions. in 2020, I became a certified breath coach and completed my 300 hour advanced teacher training program.
I have taught thousands of classes and offerings across many settings - including studios, schools, offices, backyards, parks, fields, sun decks and on farms. as of 2024, my retreats have taken me both domestically and internationally.
types of classes I’ve taught include:
my teaching style allows students to unfold limitations in both their body and mind while providing a space for them to feel a sense of peace within. i weave the philosophy of yoga throughout my classes, applying ancient wisdom to our western world in a useful and understandable way.
my classes are about creating a space where people feel safe - to show up however they are that day, to breathe, and to explore what their body and mind need. i want all my yoga students to know they are safe with me, whether they stay on their mat the whole time or need to step away.
I’m currently a council member on the council against institutional and psychiatric abuse (caipa). rooted in personal experience, my involvement reflects my commitment to ethical, humane, and non-coercive care.
I strive to make every class an inclusive and welcoming space for all abilities and backgrounds.
I’ve offered donation-based classes to raise funds and awareness for causes close to my heart – including mental health advocacy, social justice efforts, and resources for the unhoused.
i’m vegan, love warm weather, and love to travel. thailand is one of my favorite places i’ve visited. i have two cats — one of them basically sleeps on my face. i’m grateful for many friends i care about — some i’ve known since i was eleven.
i’m a foodie at heart and love discovering hidden vegan gems around massachusetts and rhode island.
organization is strangely satisfying to me — whether it’s my closet, workspace, or the ever-growing folders on my desktop.
sometimes i forget about manifestation completely - then suddenly focus on something really specific, and it surprises me when it appears.
i have lyrics from “vienna” by billy joel and “you’ll be in my heart” by phil collins tattooed on me. i’m an aries, if that tells you anything.
